Egypt's Central Bank Governor Hassan Abdalla met on Sunday with Nigel Clarke, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings held in Washington, D.C. According to a statement by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the two officials discussed areas of joint cooperation and reviewed Egypt's latest macroeconomic indicators, against the backdrop of the country's ongoing economic reform programme supported by the IMF. The meeting was attended by senior Egyptian officials including Planning and Economic Development Minister Rania Al-Mashat, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk, Egypt's Executive Director at the IMF Mohamed Maait, and CBE Deputy Governor Rami Aboul-Naga.
