Egypt's Misr Petroleum boosts service stations, aviation fuel sales
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 21 - 01 - 2025

Misr Petroleum have upgraded 33 service stations to global standards between July and December 2024 and plans to modernise 70 more in FY 2025–2026. This initiative highlights the company's commitment to delivering high-quality services and meeting the evolving needs of customers.
In addition, aviation fuel sales reached 762,000 tons in H2 2024, surpassing targets by 127 per cent. Refuelling facilities at Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Sphinx airports have played a key role in driving revenues. In the marine sector, the company's refuelling capacity of 30,000 tons per month positions it for growth as regional stability improves.
During a meeting on the FY 2025–2026 investment budget, Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi praised the company's achievements. He stressed the importance of enhancing marketing efforts, expanding the distribution of its high-quality oils, and ensuring a secure work environment to maintain operational excellence.
Moreover, chairman Mohamed Magid Bakhit outlined key initiatives, including plans to implement a fleet digital monitoring system to improve transport safety. The company is also working to complete 58 automated measurement systems at depots, further streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
These advancements demonstrate the company's steadfast focus on modernisation, operational safety, and market expansion, contributing to the growth of Egypt's energy sector.
