IFE's Statute Amendment Committee Holds 1st Meeting Next Wednesday

The Insurance Federation of Egypt's (IFE) statute amendment committee will hold its first meeting next Wednesday, sources said. The committee will discuss the suggestions presented by insurance companies to amend the statute, sources added.
Sources revealed that the committee had earlier addressed insurance companies to make them tell their suggestions about the statute. The most prominent suggestion was changing the term of the members of the board of directors.
IFE has delayed holding its board election to next June till amending the statute and determining the candidacy conditions.
It is worth mention that IFE's statute amendment committee is comprised of Abdel Raouf Kotb, chairman of IFE and managing director of Egyptian Saudi Insurance House; Adel Moussa, chairman of Misr Insurance Company; Alaa El-Zoheiry, managing director of Arab Misr Insurance Group (AMIG); Hassan Darwish, managing director of Royal Insurance Company; Rabea Abdel Khalek, managing director of MetLife Alico Life Insurance; and Raed El-Nafrawy, legal adviser at IFE.
