Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly stressed to head of delegates from Africa that Egypt wants to help the continent develop by assisting their governments in carrying out their sustainable development schemes. Speaking at the seventh edition of Builders of Egypt Forum, Madbouly said President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has directed all the consulting and contracting firms in the country to boost their participation in all African and Arab development projects in accordance with the highest international quality standards. Egyptian consulting and contracting firms have all the required potentials to make a difference while carrying out mega projects in Arab and African markets, he added. Among the mega projects the Egyptian consulting and contracting firms are taking part is Julius Nyerere Hydroelectric Power Project (JNHPP) in Tanzania. The project is undertaken by a consortium of Egyptian companies through a joint venture of two Egyptian companies, the Arab Contractors Company and Elsewedy Electric, providing work to 8 million Tanzanians and 1 million Egyptian and foreign workers, according to official government figures released last December. The 2,115 MW hydropower project constructed on the Rufiji River.
