Cairo - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at Heliopolis Palace, praised Egypt's role in supporting Palestinian people at the international level, on Sunday. Abbas offered his condolences over the victims of latest terrorist attack in North Sinai, and stressed on Palestine's full support for Egypt in its war against terrorism and against whoever threatens its security and stability. For his part, El-Sisi asserted that the Palestinian cause is one of Egypt's top priorities and stressed that resolving the conflict is a key in restoring stability and security in the Middle East region. Abbas reviewed with El-Sisi the American efforts, led by President Donald Trump, to make a historic peace deal between Palestinians and Israelis according to the two-state solution, stressing that settling this issue will be in favor of the region and next generations.
