The Egyptian exports to Russia declined in 2015 recording $414m, compared to $540m in 2014. The commercial office of the Egyptian ministry of industry held a seminar Wednesday titled "Egyptian exports in the Russian markets, opportunities and challenges," which discussed taxes posed on imports in both countries including all types of goods in addition to customs valuation, validation dates and licensing procedures. The bilateral commercial ties between both countries developed remarkably within the last three years. Egypt export fruits, vegetables, pharmaceutical products, carpets and electric equipment to Russia, while Russian imports are represented in wheat, oil products and raw timber.
