Cairo University President Gaber Nassar laid Saturday the foundation stone of China's Confucius Institute at the university campus in central Cairo, al-Bawaba News reported. Nassar said that the new institute reflects the deep relations between the two countries, asserting that it will contribute to boost scientific research in Egypt. Confucius Institute is a non-profit educational organization affiliated with the Ministry of Education in China, whose aim is to promote Chinese language and culture, and facilitate cultural exchanges.
