President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi thanked the French President Francois Hollande for the warm hospitality and for organizing the climate summit in Paris, Al Bawaba News reported. Sisi offered, in his speech during the summit, his condolences to the families of Paris terrorist attacks victims, declaring solidarity with France in the face of terrorism. He said that the world is facing a number of challenges especially the spread of terrorism, pointing out that the world countries must cooperate to counter terrorism. The President noted that Egypt participated few months ago in New York meeting that aimed to achieve sustainable development and poverty eradication, stressing on the need of an international cooperation in climate change issue as well as achieving a balance between economic and social development. Sisi pointed out that Egypt is playing an important role in climate change negotiation as it represents the African countries, stressing that Africa is the least continent to produce harmful emissions that affect the climate. He stressed that African countries formulated two initiatives at embracing renewable energy in the continent and promoting efforts to solve climate change issue, calling on the international community to support for these initiatives as well as supporting Egypt's efforts in this regard.
