A source within civil aviation authority revealed Friday in a statement to Al Bawaba that President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi would hold next week a closed meeting with authority members to discuss Russian plane crisis. A Russian civilian plane fell down last month in Sinai, leaving 224 people, all passengers on board and the crew members, dead. British and American intelligence agencies claimed a bomb planted in luggage caused the crash. The source, who spoke to Al Bawaba on condition of anonymity, said that the president would review a number of ideas and projects on securing airports already submitted by a number of pilots, to Minister of Civil Aviation, Hossam Kamal, who refused them. Sisi will discuss means for Egypt to obtain a global license from International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), to inspect aircrafts, which is adopted by the European Union.
