National Committee for Renaissance dam meets Thursday in Ethiopia

Eastern Nile Basin countries (Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia) agreed to hold next meeting of the Tripartite National Technical Committee on Thursday in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, Al Bawaba News reported Monday.
Tripartite National Technical Committee, which is composed of 12 experts from the three countries, will meet as scheduled in advance on Thursday and Friday in Addis Ababa.
The meeting will tackle the reasons for delay of technical report on Renaissance dam, which is tasked to international consultants' offices from France and Netherlands.
Advisor to the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Alaa Yassin said in a statement to Middle East News Agency (MENA) that the meeting will be among the technical experts only.
Yassin added that the meeting will conclude an agreement on a new deadline for the international consultants' offices to handover their report on the dam, which was originally supposed to be submitted on 12 of August.
