Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Salaheddine Mezouar will head a high-level delegation at the opening ceremony of the new Suez Canal, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. The Chairman of the Egyptian media office in Rabat Mohamed Fattouh Mustafa said that that the participation of Morocco in the inauguration ceremony of the new canal reflects the good relations between the two countries in various sectors such as their cooperation to fight terrorism in the region. Mustafa stressed that the new canal will boost the economic relations between Egypt and Morocco through the establishment of joint logistics centers in the Canal Zone and Tangier Mediterranean Port, which will be the Egyptian products gateway to West African countries' markets. The inauguration ceremony of the new Suez Canal will be held on August 6 with the representation of World leaders who confirmed their attendance at this important event.
