At least 136 Egyptians fleeing the unrest in Libya have been airlifted to Cairo International Airport from Djerba Airport in Tunisia early Wednesday, according to Cairo Airport officials. Egyptian authorities urged citizens working in Libya to return to Cairo, following the air strikes carried out by Egyptian air force on Islamic State positions in Derna in retaliation to the execution of 21 Egyptian Christians by IS militants in Sirte, mid-February. Nearly 10305 Egyptian nationals have fled the war-torn Libya on board of 41 Egypt Air flights via the Tunisian Airport of Djerba.
