At least 562 Egyptians have been airlifted home from Libya through Tunisia on Wednesday morning, officials in Cairo Airport said. The officials said that the evacuated Egyptians arrived aboard two flights coming from Djerba–Zarzis International Tunisian Airport, adding that another Tunisian flight is expected to arrive later Wednesday. Nearly 2825 Egyptians have been evacuated from Libya aboard 11 Tunisian flights since the Egyptian authorities urged citizens working in Libya to return home, creating an emergency air lift with Tunisia to retrieve Egyptians stranded in the conflict-torn Libya.
