EU supports the establishment of a Palestinian state: Mogherini

High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini said Monday Palestinian and Israeli actions would complicate the situation, and halt peace efforts.
Mogherini urged the two parties to resume peace talks, criticizing Israel's decision to stop the transfer of taxes to the Palestinian Authority, as it violates bilateral treaties.
She praised the efforts to achieve a two-state peace resolution.
"EU supports the establishment of a future Palestinian state", she added.
UN Security Council rejected a Palestinian proposal on Tuesday calling for an Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories and the establishment of a Palestinian state by 2017.
