Horoscopes: Power struggles

Horoscopes:
Power struggles
By Imhotep
People born under the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn (22 Dec - 22 Jan) seem to be having a lucky streak this April. By the end of the month, you'll triumph over all your enemies. Everyone, including your detractors, will acknowledge your excellence.
Sea Goats, as Capricornians are known, are strong-willed and single- minded beings. The month ahead promises plenty of opportunities for Sea Goats to show their mettle.
The world will know that Sea Goats have clearly got their heads screwed on the right way. May is a month when both friend and foe will pay tribute to hard- working and patient Capricornians.
Sea Goats are secretive and prefer to keep family and friends in the dark about any problems they face. This character trait will stand them in good stead by the end of April. Sea Goats cannot face the scrimping lives of the underdogs and castaways. And, they shall not suffer any such indignities in April and May.
Women born under the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius (23 Jan - 19 Feb) can be real spitfires sometimes. They cannot usually cope well with the injustices of a rigidly stratified society. An Aquarian is especially furious when the voice of dissension is snuffed out.
Imhotep foresees a turbulent end of April for Aquarians. The Water Bearers, as Aquarians are sometimes called, are social animals, gregarious by nature. When the chips are down, they tend to look to others for solace.
Imhotep advises Aquarians to draw on their inner strength instead this April.
All dressed up and nowhere to go. Poor Water Bearers. The end of April and the beginning of May is a rather distressful time. But, you can manage. "Just about", I hear you say. Well, by the middle of May everything will turn out to be just fine. You'll have to put up with a lot of very irritating people before then. Keep your cool.
Don't depend on coworkers to help; they may only hold you down. Trying to help others is sometimes a wretched and thankless task.
Beware of a familiar stand-off between you and one of your superiors in the workplace. Hold your tongue, please. Try to avoid a confrontation with your boss.
Imhotep reminds you that demands for apologies may be more in the nature of ritualistic display, while better relations are quietly constructed.
Stop blaming others for your misfortunes. Examine your motives more closely. Perhaps, you made one of your blithe comments that so annoy your colleagues at work. You must have misread the instructions or even the rules of the game. Try starting again with a clean slate.
And, please, whatever you do don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
Men born under the Mutable Water sign of Pisces (20 Feb - 21 Mar) are not deaf to the siren call of public popularity. Piscean men shall be in high demand for much of April and throughout May. These are good times for the Fish, as Pisceans are sometimes called.
Piscean women also should have the time of their life in the month ahead. There is nothing the Fish like better than to be needed and loved. The Fish are born to serve their fellow men and women. April and May provide excellent opportunities for the Fish to minister to the needs of others. Yes, go ahead play Agony Aunt.
But, a few self-centred Pisceans will run into deep trouble, and May might mark a watershed for your relationship with those dearest and closest to you. People are not particularly interested in the sad story you spin. You must prove to the world that you are not a weak and spineless creature. People want to see the helpful, happy side of your nature. Cheer up, forget your shortcomings. Dwell on your strong points. Don't worry, be happy.
Imhotep, himself a cheerful Fish, warns against the more morose denizens of the deep. They often find themselves disregarding anything that could short-circuit the realisation of their dreams.
Avoid romantic, sentimental love stories which cannot be taken seriously by anyone save yourself.
Still, you need no reminders that Fish instinctively know what to do in deep waters. Don't lose any sleep over it. You shall escape without a scratch, because it is only natural for Fish to swim with the flow no matter how strong the currents.
