Horoscopes:
Truth prevails
By Imhotep
Avoid financial or business dealings right now, my dear Crabs, as people born under the Cardinal Water sign of Cancer (22 Jun-22 Jul) are sometimes called. There may be a hidden catch. Opt, instead, for activities and conversations that build trust and strengthen connections. Don't hide your true feelings.
Honesty, might indeed be the best policy, in the weeks ahead because of peculiar planetary movements in the Heavens above.
The summer solstice took place on 20-21 June. The solstice represents the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere. Astrologically, it is also the time when the Sun moves into emotional Cancer. And, in 2005, it so happens that the Moon, which governs Cancer, conjuncts Pluto. Crabs in July will therefore be profoundly influenced by these planetary movements.
Your awareness of the nuances of the situation, my dear Crabs, and the feelings involved -- puts you in a much better position than those who are blundering blindly forward. In fact, you may be called upon to lead them. Cancer is the most emotional of Sun signs, as Cancerians are famous for keeping their feelings to themselves. And, Pluto is the ruler-planet of control.
In the weeks ahead, Crabs could therefore be aptly described as control freaks. Indeed, they shall excel at keeping their emotions in check.
Lions, as people born under the Fixed Fire sign of Leo (23 Jul-22 Aug) are sometimes called, will also respond to the summer solstice with mixed emotions. Firey Lions are often fearless defenders of the truth, even though they are also fond of uttering half-truths.
In late July, Lions will find themselves in the limelight. And, they do love to be the centre of attention, anyway. Lions are such terrific flirts. They just don't know when to stop. In July, they might find reason to stop incessant flirtation and take a more serious look at a particular romantic relationship.
Your emotions, my dear Lions, are running on high at the moment -- and you're in for an explosive summer. That means it will be so easy for you to express yourselves and even easier to find sympathetic listeners and kindred spirits. Anything less than a profound exchange will leave you cold this summer, my dear Lions. So if someone approaches you hoping to have some light conversation on New Year's Eve, better warn them in no uncertain terms: No fluff. Deep stuff only, please.
In late July and early August, Lions will be in the mood for beautiful words and soothing sounds and conversations about tender topics. Lions instinctively want to be up close and personally involved with everyone. That goes double for your loved ones, my dear Lions. In the weeks ahead, Lions will reach out for their dear ones ... and gaze adoringly at their beloved.
Indeed, your primary partner or best friend in the whole wide world, my dear Lions, will take a starring role in your life -- much to your delight and theirs as well.
Looking to someone else to stand up for you isn't just going to cut it, my dear Virgoans, as people born under the Mutable Earth sign of Virgo (23 Aug-22 Sep) are sometimes called. Figure out exactly what you want and need and get it yourself. Once you reach for it, it will be closer than you think.
If you are hesitating before repeating that juicy bit of gossip you have just heard, well, your instincts are good. Spreading the word wouldn't do you any favours now. And, it is likely the story is less than entirely accurate.
If you don't have to get up early, stay up as late as you have in ages, chatting away my dear Virgoans. Reminisce about what happened when you were six, or 10, or 19. Just don't forget to mention recent history.
It would be easy to get depressed, but don't let it happen. Things may be tough at the moment, but there's something wonderful coming up, and August looks marvelous. Now buck up, as the Americans say.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius
