Horoscopes:
Hotting up
You couldn't ask for better energy from the Stars, my dear Crabs, as people born under the Cardinal Water sign of Cancer (22 Jun-22 Jul) are sometimes called. The Stars are shining brightly on all your most delightful qualities including, yes, your romantic nature. You are exuding lovability so get it out and about.
Instinctively, you prefer to keep the public well out of your private affairs. That might not be possible at this particular moment -- but strangely enough these days you don't really mind sharing your private bliss with others. Happiness, after all, is meant to be shared.
Sheer emotional torrents would be released in the weeks ahead, my dear Crabs. Love is in the air, and you demand romantic fulfilment. Amorous abandon is your inalienable right, my dear Crabs.
You can be brazen about it if you need to be, but a soft touch is far better. Truly entitled people take what's theirs without announcing it. Anyone could do this, but luckily for you, the stars decree that it's your turn.
Ruled by the Moon, Crabs are among the most sentimental and sensual of creatures. And, mind you, a casual glance that lasts a bit too long will set your heart aflutter in mid-August.
Someone who initially rubs you the wrong way might turn out to be just the one for you, my dear Lions, as people born under the Fixed Fire sign of Leo (23 Jul-22 Aug) are sometimes called. Remember that first impressions are sometimes incorrect. Drop defensive ego postures and you will see what works and what doesn't. The love you take now is equal to the love you make. So seek out opportunities to shower friends, co-workers, random strangers and even your annoyingly inquisitive neighbour with dubious goodwill.
It is all about karma. Nerves can be strained. A lover's tiff, an axe to grind. But rest assured, battles can often be refreshingly salubrious. The toughest battle, though, is with oneself, especially when one tries to desist from foolish activities.
Imhotep sees your hearts swelling with pride my dear Lions in the weeks ahead. Even though, a clash between the desire for emotional security and a desperate need for creative expression awaits you my dear Lions in May. You will be forced to retire into your den. But, the need for communication and, yes I repeat, creative expression, shall take hold of you.
Eat and be merry. Forget about your figure. The Lions shall enjoy healthy appetites in the weeks ahead. For food is, indeed, the shortest cut to a man's heart as many a Lioness knows. But Lionesses, too, shall reserve a seat for themselves at the Banquet of Plenty that awaits them in August.
People born under the Mutable Earth sign of Virgo (23 Aug-22 Sep) are a sensitive lot. Even so, don't you dare, my dear Virgoans, let anyone put a damper on the fine mood you are in -- especially that one particular individual who's world famous for his ability to find the dark lining on any silver cloud. Virgoans can be moody and impressionable. Brace yourselves, my dear Virgoans, for especially emotional weeks ahead.
Just a few more weeks and you will be free from responsibility, and most importantly, from the pessimistic comments of a certain person who seems bent on ruining your happiness.
Whatever you're feeling my dear Virgoans will tumble from your mouths if you're not careful -- but that will work out just fine. August is a month of deep passion, my dear Virgoans. Go deep, and as the month progresses go even deeper.
A dear friend is inching ever closer towards asking for a commitment. You've been thinking about it more and more, wondering how it will all work out.
Ready to whisper a secret in the ear of someone you love? You'd better be, because they're just waiting to hear what you have to say. They are also ready, willing and completely able to make a commitment -- yes, contrary to your worst expectations, my dear Virgoans.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius
