Bishop Moussa, head of the Youth Bishopric, has declined to run for the vacant papal chair, empty since Pope Shenouda III died in March. Moussa told the Ahram Arabic language news portal:"I apologise because of my old age, my bad health condition, and I ask God to place a good Pope to take care of the Church and its followers." The favourites so far are Bishop Younas, secretary to former Pope Shenouda, and Bishop Bishoy, secretary of the Holy Synod. Bishop Youssef of the South America Bishopric and Bishop Kirollos of Milan have received support from abroad. Pope Shenouda III died 17 March at the age of 88 after 40 years as head of the Coptic Orthodox Church. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/42980.aspx
