Egypt condemned on Monday "in the strongest terms" a terrorist attack in Iraq that killed a number of civilians and military personnel. In a statement issued by the foreign ministry, Egypt expressed its condolences to the Iraqi government and people, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. Egypt reiterated in the statement its full support to Iraq in what it takes from measures to counter terrorism in all its forms, and to protect its security and stability. The statement came hours after unidentified gunmen killed at least 11 people and wounded eight others, including soldiers in an attack on an Iraqi army post in western Baghdad's El-Radwania district. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
