Egypt defeated Algeria 30-27 to reach the African Handball Championship final on Friday and edge closer to booking a place at this year's Olympic Games in Tokyo. The Pharaohs will either face defending champions Tunisia or Angola, who meet in the other last-four clash, in the final. Egypt remained undefeated in the tournament as they qualified for the main round after topping Group A with maximum six points. The six times African champions are looking to regain the African title that they lost in 2018 when Tunisia won their tenth trophy in Gabon. The winner will get an automatic ticket for the 2020 Tokyo Games, while the runners-up will enter the world play-offs to win a seat at the Olympics.
