Egypt expressed its condolences for the victims of the Iranian Aseman Airlines plane crash, a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday. On Sunday, the Iranian passenger plane crashed with 65 people on board in the Zagros Mountains, in Iran's Isfahan province. The ministry offered Egypt's "condolences to the families of the victims and asserted that the people and government of Egypt stand alongside them in this ordeal." Aseman Airlines had initially announced that all passengers had been killed, but search and rescue teams have been unable to yet reach the site due to bad weather.
