The non-profit organization specializes in the professionally-tailored workshops for youth aged 12-15, that span across many disciplines and which capitalize on self-expression and knowledge-sharing.
Following its annual practice, during summer some of the workshops are offered free of charge while others are given for a nominal fee.
“Our long workshops will be in three disciplines: video, visual art and computing, running between 2 July and 31 August with classes offered 3 times a week, four hours each day, and free of charge. In parallel, DECA will hold workshops with shorter duration for a small fee, specialized in comics, caricature, recycling art, theater improvisation, recycling art. We will be announcing more details on our facebook page soon,” Amr Gad, manager of DECA revealed.

During summer and in cooperation with Arab Digital Expression Foundation (ADEF), the Animation School of Jesuit Cairo will hold three free of charge two-months long courses for young people aged 12-15.
“The courses will cover music, video and visual art disciplines. The interested should follow our Facebook announcements or contact us directly,” explains Mariam Abdel Rahman, the administrative representative of the Animation School.

Cima Centre is an initiative founded by Mohamed Nader, Khaled Diab and Ahmed Zoghby, and offers workshops, specialized in a variety of aspects of cinematograph: scriptwriting, directing, acting, etc. with the focus given to young adults. Throughout past months, Cima centre held workshops conducted by renowned filmmakers.
“The centre embraces amateurs interested to explore cinema making. Many of the workshops' participants find opportunities within the field,” explains the centre's cofounder and administer manager Ahmed Zoghby.

The centre provides trainings in disciplines such as cinematography, scriptwriting, dance, painting, music, for a large age span: 5-13 and 13-30.
The upcoming summer programme includes storytelling workshop (starting 16 July), commercial cinema directing with Hani Magdi (starting 15 July), documentaries directing with Abd El Gawad (starting 18 July), vocal courses, ballet classes, among others.
“Our summer courses will continue for three months, with different duration. Some courses will walk the attendees across a few disciplines, allowing them to explore different segments of the creative field. In Camera and Microphone, we have equipment and a variety of tools to support the children and youth in their interests. For younger attendees, we also engage into discussion with parents to see which course might be the most beneficial for the young person, and how it can capitalize on or develop specific skills,” explains Khaled Sakr, manager of the Camera and Microphone.

In its long history, AFCA has established itself as one of the Egypt's pioneers working in education of children through arts. AFCA is also behind the annual Hakawy festival, Egypt's only theatre festival dedicated to the youngest audience.
Each summer, AFCA holds a series of camps, activities and workshops for children aged 4-12.
This year, the summer camps will begin on 2 July and continue until 31 August and will revolve around themes such as Adventures, Travel and the World of Fantasy.
The themes will be presented through a series of artistic activities will cover disciplines such as theatre, visual arts, singing and cooking, all having as objective “the development of the children talents and enrich their vocabulary in French and English,” we read in Afca Arts Culture Facebook page. It is worth adding that this year it will be the first time for AFCA to work in English language.
The organizers add that buses will be provided for the courses' participants.

Though for the Science Factory, the first set of courses already took place in May, the upcoming activities will resume in July and August with workshops taking place on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm for children aged 4-14 in winter and summer. As the project's name indicates, the participants will explore the world of science through themed sessions. The trainers incorporate elements of art, reading and practical work in each session.

SANE centre aims at experimental learning to develop artistic and cultural mindsets, providing courses throughout the year. This summer SANE will team up with the Little Stark education company to create a set of Summer Camps for children aged 4-12.
“Throughout the year, SANE provides ballet, zumba, hip-hop among others creative activities for babies, toddlers and older children. Our summer camps will focus on arts and crafts, cooking, recycling as well as basics of engineering. The courses will span over July and August and the participants can join on monthly, weekly as well as walk-in basis,” explains Nermeen Hegazy, SANE's manager.
