Ghana received a major boost ahead of next month's crucial World Cup qualifier away to Egypt after key duo Kwadwo Asamoah and Andre Ayew recovered from injuries they sustained with Juventus and West Ham respectively. Egypt will host Ghana at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab stadium on 13 November in their second Group E game of the World Cup qualifiers. Asamoah and Ayew were named as substitutes with their respective clubs on Wednesday as Juventus face Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A while West Ham take on Chelsea in the EFL (League Cup). Asamoah recovered from a knee injury that sidelined him for around a month and Ayew got over a thigh injury he picked up last August. Ghana struggled without the injured duo, making a disappointing start in their World Cup qualifying group after being held to a goalless draw at home by Uganda earlier this month. Egypt, who defeated Congo 2-1, lead the group with three points, two ahead of second-placed Ghana.
