Squash: El-Shorbagy ends run at US open, Shabana Egypt's only hope
Amr Shabana is Egypt's only representative in the fifth PSA World Series after Mohamed El-Shorbagy's exit at the hands of the British world number one

Egypt's Mohamed El-Shorbagy was knocked out of the 2011 US Open Squash Championships by British opponent Nick Matthew in the quarter finals held at Drexel University in Philadelphia on Monday.
World number seven, El-Shorbagy, lost 3-1 to world number one, Matthew (11/5, 9/11, 11/3, 11/6) in 65 minutes.
Meanwhile, Amr Shabana, globally ranked fourth, will need to overcome Laurens Jan Anjema of the Netherlands to continue competing for the tournament's $115 thousand prize. They will face off on Tuesday.
Shabana reached the quarterfinals after overcoming Briton Adrian Grant 3-1 in 51 minutes (6-11, 11-6, 11-5 and 11-7), while El-Shorbagy dealt Grant's countrymen, Tom Richards, a thrashing, winning 3-1 as well in 53 minutes (4-11, 11-8, 6-11 and 2-11).
Six Egyptians exit early
Two Egyptians made their exits after round two: Omar Mosaad was beaten 3-0 by Matthew in 40 minutes, and Hisham Ashour lost to fifth seed Peter Barker of the UK 3-0 in 49 minutes.
In the first round, four other Pharaohs suffered early exits: Tarek Momen, Mohamed Ali Anwar and Wael El-Hindi lost to Tom Richards, Miguel Angel Rodriguez (Colombia) and Amr Shabana respectively. Second seed Karim Darwish pulled out of his match against Malaysian Mohd AzlanIskandar due to injury.
