Rainy, cold weather will last in parts of Egypt until Wednesday, according to a statement by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority. Coastal areas in the northern part of the country could see heavy rain and thunderstorms, while Cairo and the Nile Delta will see mild rain, the meteorologists predict. Alexandria and Dakheila ports in the coastal city of Alexndria were closed on Sunday due to rain and bad weather, as was the Red Sea port of Safaga. Cairo will see a high on Sunday of 12 degrees Celsius and a low of 9 degrees, while Alexandria is expected to see a high of 12 degrees and a low of eight. Ismailia and Suez will both see a high of 13 degrees and a low of eight. Relatively warmer weather is expected in the two Red Sea resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
