21 Morsi supporters released on bail in Aswan
Defendants still to face trial on charges of torching police cars in Aswan after Rabaa dispersal last year

An Egyptian court on Monday released 21 alleged supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi on LE1,000 bail, state news agency MENA reported.
The defendants are accused of inciting violence and setting fire to police vehicles in Aswan after the dispersal of the largest pro-Morsi sit-in at Rabaa Al-Adaweya Square in August 2013.
The defendants will still face trial for the charges.
Over 600 persons were killed in the dispersal of two Islamist protest camps last summer, sparking nationwide violence as supporters of the deposed president clashed with security forces and other civilians.
The government launched a security crackdown against Islamists, with hundreds killed and thousands jailed, including the top leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood, from which Morsi hails.
Morsi himself faces a number of trials on charges of espionage and breaking out of jail in 2011.
