Telecom Egypt members reduced to 8.9 million after reaching 9.6 million subscribers in March. The company lost about 700,000 subscribers in just one month, according to Egypt's Ministry of Telecommunication. Sources told Youm7 the numbers revealed the company faces a number of challenges, especially with the difficult competition of other mobile service providers in Egypt. This reduced the price of one minute to its lowest level. The company works to possess a mobile service provider for Egypt, Telecommunication Ministry said. It studies the feasibility of offering the fourth license in 2013, while other providers refuse the idea since the market achieved saturation. Telecom Egypt offered buying 55 percent of Vodafone Egypt's shares, while both sides did not reach an agreement about the price.
