Leading solutions provider for telecom infrastructure Mobiserve's Mali unit has been awarded the Middle East and Africa's best supplier award for 2011. The award came as part of the 2011 Mali Strategic Cooperation Forum, which aimed at boosting IT in the country and across the region and continent. The award was specifically handed down to Mobiserve's Mali subsidiary. According to the company, the award was given for the unit's “aiding in the successful delivery of several strategic network sites including PH2 as well as the constant support shown to vendors by the Mali office.” Mobiserve's CEO Sameh Atalla said in a published statement that, “We'd like to congratulate our colleagues in Mali who have been duly recognized with the honor of receiving this award. Special thanks go to them for their achievements and dedication in upholding Mobiserve's high level of service.” The announcement has regional IT executives optimistic that previously “off the track” markets are beginning to boost their capacities, which Maroc Telecom executive Said al-Said Ibrahim told Bikyamasr.com “could prove fruitful in developing the modus for investment in the very near future in these countries, which have been left aside from the African expansion of IT and telecom projects.” BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/lmTdY Tags: Mali, Mobiserve Section: Tech, West Africa
