Cairo - President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has arrived in Cairo on Sunday morning in for his first formal visit since taking office in February 2017. According to the presidential statement, the visit is aiming to enhance the Egyptian - Somali relations, as several issues are expected to be discussed during the talks between Farmajo and President Abdel-Fattah El- Sisi. A Formal reception ceremonies have has been held in Al-Ittihadia Presidential Palace. The African – Egyptian relations have been on the top of El-Sisi's priorities since taking the office, as his first Participation in the African Union Summit on June 2014 in the Equatorial Guinea was considered then a restoration of the African-Egyptian relations after years of neglect during Mubarak's era. On Monday, August 14, El-sisi started embarked on a four-day African tour included where he visited Tanzania, Rwanda, Gabon and Chad.
