Head of Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish announced Tuesday that 52 ships had crossed through both sides of Suez Canal, Al Masry Al Youm News reported. Mamish pointed out that 28 ships crossed through the north of the canal, while 24 ships crossed through the south side, with an overall weight of 3.1 million tons. He added that the largest container ship crossed through the canal was Panamanian "MSC MAYA" weighing 196,000 tons.
