Egyptian military spokesperson, Mohamed Samir said Saturday that the army thwarted an attempt carried out by two militants to plant improvised explosive devices (IED) on North Sinai's Rafah city international road, Al Bawaba News reported. Samir pointed out that the army clashed with the militants, killing one and wounding the other as well as seizing two automatic rifles, 45 bullets and a Motorola communication device.
