Egypt's military has killed 25 terrorists and arrested 15 others in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuweid and Arish in the second phase of the Martyr's Right operation against terror groups, Al Bawaba News reported Sunday. The militants are believed to be affiliates of Wilayat Sinai, a terrorist group linked to the Islamic State (IS), formerly known as Ansar Beit al-Maqdis. Meanwhile, the army destroyed 39 improvised explosive devices, seven vehicles, 22 motorcycles belonging to terrorists as well as 36 terrorist hideouts. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
