Sufra Dayma: Bruschetta By Moushira Abdel-Malek Ingredients: 1 loaf crusty French bread 1/2 cup olive oil 4 cloves garlic (crushed) Tomato and basil topping: 2 large ripe tomatoes 1 medium Spanish onion (chopped) 3 tbsp Balsamic vinegar 1/4 cup shredded fresh basil Cracked black pepper Method: Slice bread on the diagonal into 1.1/2 cm slices. Whisk olive oil and garlic together. Brush both sides of bread with oil and garlic mixture. Oven toast until goldened. In the meantime, finely chop tomatoes and combine in a bowl with remaining ingredients. Spoon onto grilled toast and serve.
