Egypt is set to witness rainy weather on Wednesday and Thursday, and the country will continue to see a drop in temperatures. In an official statement on Monday, Egypt's Meteorological Authority (EMA) said the country will witness rains from Wednesday through Friday, with peak rainfall expected on Thursday. Rainfall is expected nationwide, with heavy rain and thunder set to hit the southern part of the country on both days. Friday has a lower chance of seeing rain. Temperatures are expected to drop to 19 and 20 degrees Celsius in Cairo, Alexandria, and the Nile Delta governorates, while southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai will see 23-24 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected to affect maritime navigation in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, according to the statement.
