Zagazig judges sit-in against carelessness to transfer them to polling stations
Published in Youm7 on 14 - 12 - 2011

CAIRO: Deputy of the Court of Appeal Ashraf Zahran said, “The judges supervising the elections in the Sharqia governorate are protesting outside the head of Zagazig's primary court office.”
Zahran said judges are threatening not to monitor elections due to carelessness by the head of the court in providing means of transportation for them to the polling stations.
He told Youm7 he received numerous calls from around 200 judges in Zagazig, saying the head of court asked them to take their issue to the head of the military council.
He also said the judges told him the Supreme Electoral Committee's branch in Zagazig did nothing to interfere or solve the problem, despite the SEC and Zagazig's primary court's concern for the matter.
The issue may hinder the whole electoral process in the Sharqia governorate, added Zahran.
