CAIRO: Newly appointed Minister of Information Ahmed Anis announced his first priorities are returning the lost trust between the governmental television and citizens by presenting honest media without bias and presenting what really concerns the citizens. Anis thanked journalists and asked them to keep on the accuracy of information they transfer in a press conference yesterday December 11. He expressed his hope in advancing the media foundation through cooperation between everyone involved. He called for solidarity for the martyrs' blood. He pointed out this period is very difficult economically and politically, which reflects on the media. He accepted this position because of his love and dedication to Egypt. Anis added he set priorities for the current period. The most persistent file was human resources since their financial state should be improved through fair distribution and stopping large differences between the top salaries and that of the workers'. Improving the technical level of programs will do this. Anis expressed his willingness to share the youths' decision and benefiting from their brilliant ideas. Anis said their media policy is based on freedom. He expressed his interest in the television's commercials file, which witnessed deterioration and produced only 15 million EGP in the year 2010.
