Cairo – Several prominent Sufi leaders expressed their utter rejection for allowing Salafis to join in the ongoing ‘intellectual' fight against terrorist group Islamic State (also known as IS, ISIS, ISIL and Daesh). Earlier this week, ‘Sameh Abdul-Hamid', a Salafi party leader, made a statement about how it is important that Salafis should join in the ongoing fight against ISIS-linked groups, spearheaded by both Al-Azhar and the army establishments. In a Facebook's post, Abdul-Hamid cited Libyan Army Commander Khalifa Haftar's speech in which he recognized the Salafis' role in defeating ISIS allies and liberating Qunfudah area (west Benghazi) from their grip, "without such help victory would have never been possible," said Haftar. In an exclusive statement for ‘Albawaba News Portal' on Saturday, Dr. Ayman Abu al-Kheir, a Sufi leader, wondered: "How come we would seek the help of a disguised ISIS group in order to eliminate another ISIS group?! Is this reasonable?! Abu al-Kheir asserted that both ISIS and Salafis exactly have the same rigid mentality.
