Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab signed Thursday three protocols of cooperation between Egypt and Democratic Republic of the Congo in various sectors, Al Bawaba News reported. The first protocol was signed between the two countries Ministries of Electricity in order to create solar energy stations working by photovoltaic cells in the Congolese capital Kinshasa. The stations will be fully funded by the Egyptian government as part of the development of the Nile Basin Initiative. The second protocol was signed between the two countries ministries of environment to exchange knowledge and expertise in biodiversity management, as well as exchanging experiences in climate change and environmental issues. The Third was signed between the Ministries of Health of the two countries to create, equip and operate an Egyptian medical center in Kinshasa to provide all health services to Congolese people. On the sidelines of the three protocols signing session, Mahlab welcomed the Congolese ministers for their visit to Egypt in order to attend the opening ceremony of the new Suez Canal, praising the cooperation relations between the two countries.
