Hedayat Abdel Nabi, Editor in Chief of the Arabic Edition of Beyond "MaBad" represented AFICS-Egypt at the NGO/Media forum held at the margin of the Arab Economic and Social Summit held in Kuwait, 19-20 January 2009. At the request from AFICS-Chair and General Coordinator of the Summit, Ambassador Mervat Tallawy, a special issue of "MaBad" dealing with regional economic issues was prepared by experts from AFICS-Egypt's think tank and distinguished guest contributors and was distributed to Summit participants. This was part of Ambassador Tallawy's effort to ensure a substantive role for NGOs in the preparation for the Summit. The Arabic Special Edition of Beyond "MaBad" on the Summit is currently in the market under the heading "Kemat al Kuwait" (Kuwait Summit). Its Editor in chief announced that the next issue will analyze the results of the Summit and whether any serious steps are on their way to implement its recommendations.
