Sufra Dayma: Strawberry and Apple Crumble By Moushira Abdel-Malek Serves 4 Ingredients: 500 gms cooking apples 150 gms strawberries 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp orange juice 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon Custard or ice cream (to serve) The crumble 2/3 cup oats 3 tbsp plain wholemeal flour 1/8 cup butter Method: Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Peel, core and slice apples. Halve the strawberries. Toss them together with orange juice, sugar and cinnamon. Pour into a 5-cup ovenproof dish. Combine flour and oats in a bowl and mix in the butter with a fork. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the fruit. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Serve warm with custard or ice cream.
