A FORMER coach in the Spanish national football league has praised young Egyptian players after he said they had done better against many teams their age in Barcelona. Juan Skoda said he was happy with the "magnificent level" displayed by the Egyptians who won the 'Next Hero' championship under the patronage of the Egyptian Football Federation, which gave them the opportunity to travel to Barcelona to be trained using state-of-the-art techniques to improve their skills. As part of the itinerary, they watched the senior teams of Barcelona and Espanola train. "The Egyptians showed excellent levels in the matches they played against many young teams in Barcelona," Skoda said. "The 'Next Hero' team showed better skills than the Spaniards," he said, adding, "They had great ambition, and rapid comprehension of the training regimens they received." Skoda said the players need only to continue practicing "and follow a scientific method that will prepare them." The 'Next Hero' team received international accredited certificates from the academy in the training programmes laid out for them. To a man (in this case boys), the players said the training added a lot to their skills, especially since they received around 35 hours of training each.
