Chairman of Egyptian Premier League side Smouha Farag Amer announced on Monday that he reached an agreement with Tanta coach Ahmed Sami to replace resigning head coach Hamada Sedqi in leading the Alexandrian side. "Hamada Sedqi complained of the team's poor results in the Egyptian league and he asked to leave his post and the club's management agreed to his wishes," Amer told a radio programme on Monday. "We learned late on Sunday that Ahmed Sami left his position as Tanta coach. We know him well after [Tanta] beat Smouha in three games as well as his previous superb tenure [as head coach of] Talae El-Geish. So we reached an agreement with his to be in charge of the team," the Smouha president added. Farag Amer confirmed that all technical staff assistants will stay in their positions. The Blue Waves, Smouha are 6th in the Egyptian Premier League teams' table with 32 points after playing 25 games so far this season. Tanta lie in the tail of the table with only 17 points after 25 games as they only claimed two victories so far this season while drawing in 11 games and losing in 12.
