Ahli announced that they signed Asyut Cement right-winger Ahmed Sedik on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee on a free-transfer basis on Thursday. “Sedik has officially signed for Ahli on Thursday, to become the club's fifth new-signing for next season,” Ahli said in their statement. Sedik played in Ahli's youth ranks four seasons ago on loan from Al-Fayoum for a whole season, before playing his final match with the first-team against Aswan in the Egyptian league final round in the 2003/2004 season, in which they won 2-1. Sedik then moved to Asyut Cement in the 2004/2005 season after his loan spell with Ahli ended. Ahli have earlier announced that they signed Sharqeya Smoke duo Rami Rabie and Tarek Saad and Zamalek duo Tarek Al-Saied and Mohamed Sedik.
