Ahli set a luxurious bid to sign Egypt striker Amr Zaki from Russian side Lokomotiv on loan, the Egyptian champions said. Lokomotiv, though, said they can sell the player's contract on a permanent basis for 1,7 million Euros, but Ahli haven't given their final reply yet. Zaki, who scored Egypt's decisive goal against Senegal in the semis of the African Cup of Nations last February, moved to Lokomotiv for the same fee in March when the domestic season begins in Russia. He failed to impress and was kept on the sidelines for the first half of the season before sustaining an injury that ruled him out of action indefinitely. UAE side Al-Nassr also expressed interest in signing the player on a one-year loan for $600,000, FilGoal.com learnt. Meanwhile, Ahli said they are on the brink of signing Asyut's right-back Ahmed Sedik on a three-year contract for EGP 900,000. According to club officials, the deal is pending an agreement is made with Arab Contractors over a preliminary contract that Sedik signed in the winter transfer window in January. Ahli are also reportedly targeting Zamalek winger Mohamed Aboul-Ella. Media reports said that he already signed for Ahli before Zamalek's last game in the league against Masri.
