CAIRO: Egyptian Minister of Culture, Emad Abou Ghazi, opened the exhibition of Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore, in Egypt's Opera House on Monday. The Indian Ambassador to Cairo, Swaminathan, and ambassadors of 150 countries participated in the celebration. The exhibition included 20 memorial portraits of stamps of Tagore's photos in addition to 13 portraits, depicting Tagore's works. The Indian ambassador thanked Abou Ghazi and appreciated Egypt's role by hosting the exhibition. Tagore is the first Asian to be awarded by Nobel Prize, in 1913. He was creative in all branches of literature. Tagore's efforts contributed in reformulating Bengali literature and music in the beginning of the 20th century. Two poems of Tagore were used as national anthems for two countries, India and Bangladesh.
