Hundreds of Ismaili's fans rallied Friday in front of the coastal club headquarters, calling for the change of the boardroom. The protesters later congregated in front of the house of Ismaili president Nasser Aboul-Hassan, whom they want to leave. "We want the departure of this board because the directors spent millions to sign players and appoint new coaching staff but failed to lead the team to any titles," Mohamed Rashad, coordinator of the protest, told FilGoal.com. Ismaili played out a 1-1 draw at home with Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League last Wednesday. The Dervishes also crashed out of the African Confederation Cup round of 32 after embarrassingly succumbing to a 4-0 defeat at Sofapaka of Kenya. Military forces were deployed near Ismaili's premises and Aboul-Hassan's house shortly after the protests started.
