President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi returns to Egypt following the conclusion of meetings with Bahraini leaders and high-officials, which focused on attracting investment and improving the business environment.
The Bahrain visit also tackled bilateral relations between both countries, marking the end of his Gulf tour.
Al-Sisi conducted a two-day tour of the Gulf to Kuwait and Bahrain, in which his meetings included regional talks with the officials of both countries. For the one-day visit in Bahrain, Al-Sisi visited the economic development council and met with the speaker of the Bahraini representatives council, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, and the culture minister, following his meeting with the Emir of Bahrain.
In his meeting with Al-Mulla, Al-Sisi confirmed the distinction of the Egyptian-Bahraini relations, expressed appreciation to Bahrain's efforts to Egypt and confirmed Egypt's keenness on cooperating in all fields, especially at the parliamentary level.
Al-Sisi further praised the role of the Bahraini parliament in promoting the two countries' relations and in discussing significant national issues.
As for the meeting with the minister of culture, it included discussion on ways to enhance cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries, especially through organising events, forums, and joint cultural events. In addition to this, they agreed on cooperating in activating the role of culture to develop social and economic conditions through enhancing the role of museums, folklore, and cultural components.
The president also visited the Economic Development Council, which is responsible on following up and promoting investments in the country. During Al-Sisi's meeting with council members, the Economic Development Council focused on the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of attracting investments, as well as exchanging experiences and practices in terms of procedures that will improve the business environment and provide an attractive environment for investment.
Upon his arrival to Bahrain, Al-Sisi met with the Emir of Bahrain, who greeted him in an official reception and rewarded him with the highest Bahraini decorations. Both leaders held a meeting that did not focus only on enhancing bilateral relation, but also reviewing regional updates, and addressing the issues of several countries.
The two sides agreed on the need to strengthen the joint efforts to combat terrorism, as well as the concerted efforts of the international community to reach political solutions to the crises occurring in the region. The Emir of Bahrain praised Egypt's pivotal role played in solving regional crises and maintaining security and stability
