Egypt's EgyptAir flag-carrier joined three Emirati airlines -- Etihad, Emirates and FlyDubai -- in suspending flights to the capital of Qatar after their countries cut off diplomatic ties with Doha. Meanwhile, "Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until 23:59 UTC [GMT] on 05th June (02.59 Doha Time on 6th June)," the travel alert reads, Sputnik reported. "EgyptAir announced a delay in the flight to Doha before a final decision on air communication between Cairo and the capital of Qatar," the company said as quoted by the El-Fagr newspaper. The airline added that the decision was made "after the break on Monday by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain's diplomatic relations with Doha." The UAE's Etihad, Emirates and FlyDubai airlines have also announced their decision to suspend flights to and from Qatar earlier in the day. The Etihad Airline's Spokesperson also said that Etihad Airways, the national airline carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will suspend all flights to and from Qatar on Tuesday, a decision which comes on the heels of Abu Dhabi officially cutting off diplomatic relations with Doha. "The airline will suspend flights to Qatar and from Qatar from Tuesday's morning," the Etihad Airways' Spokesperson added in statement. On Monday, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt cut off diplomatic ties with Qatar and suspended air and sea communication one week after the Arab American Summit in Riyadh.
