A recent analysis by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), on the establishment of the free tripartite trade area in Africa, predicted an enhancement in the economic cooperation between the UAE and African countries and the movement of more exports and imports through Dubai with the increase in intra-regional trade of the countries of the continent, all of that comes in the preparation for the Global Forum of the African business to be held on the 17th and 18th of November, Al-Bawaba News reported Sunday. The analysis indicated that the establishment of a free trade area in the southeastern part of the African continent among 26 countries, which became known as the Tripartite Free Trade Area, is expected to enhance the economic cooperation between the UAE and the countries of Africa, as Dubai is Africa's gateway to Asian markets that is the main trading partner of the continent. The Director General of (DCCI), Hamad Bu Amim, stressed the need to give more space for the private sector to play an active role in the integration process, allowing promotion of intra-regional trade performance in the African continent, and to create promising opportunities for foreign investments in Africa.
