Israeli forces shot and injured a Ma'an cameraman with live fire in his leg during clashes near Huwwara checkpoint in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus on Sunday. Cameraman Rami Swidan was covering clashes near the checkpoint when Israeli forces shot him with live fire in the leg before he was transferred to the hospital for medical treatment. Israeli forces also shot six other Palestinians with live ammunition during the clashes, Ma'an reporters said. Last week, Israeli forces shot and injured a reporter from the Lebanon-based Al-Mayadeen TV channel while she was reporting from the al-Issawiya village of occupied East Jerusalem. Hana Mahamid was shot in the face with a stun grenade while filming a report in the village. She had been broadcasting on clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian youths near the home of Fadi Alloun, 19, who was shot dead after allegedly attempting to stab a group of Israelis.
